The American Chemical Society Summer Research Fellowships for High School Chemistry Teachers are administered by the ACS, with the support of Motorola, and are a unique opportunity for high school chemistry teachers to spend a summer conducting hands-on research with a scientist in a laboratory setting. These fellowships are initiated and hosted by mentors at research institutions, such as Duquesne University. Under the guidance of the mentor, teachers work eight weeks on a cutting-edge research project and are awarded a $7,000 stipend. This program provides chemistry teachers with the opportunity to update content knowledge and bring what they learn back to their classrooms.
