Department
of Chemistry and Biochemistry Application Requirements:
1. The application form completed
in full. Application
2. Official transcripts in English
of all undergraduate and any graduate studies
completed. Ask the registrar(s) of your undergraduate
and graduate colleges or universities to send
the transcript to the above address.
3. Three letters of recommendation
sent by your listed references to the above address.

form.
4. Original GRE scores sent
to the above address. General test scores are
required, and subject test scores are recommended.
5. There is no application fee for degree seeking applicants. Non-degree seeking application fee is $10. FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY - application processing fee of $40 must be included. All appropriate fees must accompany the application form and cannot be refunded. Check should be made payable to Duquesne University.

Affidavit of Support Form completed in full and
submitted together with required officially-certified
statements of financial resources available from
you to support your education at Duquesne University.

of financial resource certifications. No uncertified
photocopies can be accepted. In addition, the
Test of Spoken English (TSE) is required for students
applying for assistantship positions. See

Application
Deadline:
February 15 is the deadline
for Fall admission. The Department of Chemistry
and Biochemistry encourages all full-time students
to begin their studies in the Fall semester due
to the rotation component of the first year curriculum.
However, qualified students will be considered
for Spring semester admission if application materials
are received by October 1. Students wishing to
pursue studies on a part-time basis may submit
applications up to one month before the desired
date of entrance.
International
Student Deadlines:
Due to administrative constraints
in processing international applications, all
materials must be received by the following deadlines.
International applications completed after the
appropriate deadline may be considered for admission
in the following semester upon request. International
students seeking assistantships should follow
the target deadlines above.
Fall admission: Feb 15
Spring admission: October 1
Applications which are missing ANY of the above
items will not be processed.
