GETTING TO CAMPUS
By Air:
From the Pittsburgh International Airport, the
Airlines Transportation Company shuttle bus departs
from the lower level of the airport every half
hour and drops visitors at hotels in downtown
Pittsburgh. From most hotels in Downtown, Duquesne
is about a 10-15 minute walk, though it would
probably be more convenient to take a cab ride
(about $3.00) from the hotel to the campus. The
shuttle bus will cost about $10.00. The trip to
or from the Airport takes approximately 45 minutes.
Cab service from the airport into Pittsburgh is
approximately $30.00 and takes approximately 45
minutes.
PATransit bus service on the
28X "Airport Flyer" route is $2 one
way (schedule available at airport). The bus departs
from the airport approximately every 45 minutes
at the lower level bus stop. It drops visitors
off in Downtown Pittsburgh, or at the Duquesne
University pedestrian bridge on Boulevard of the
Allies.
By Train
or Bus:
The Amtrak and Greyhound transportation terminals
are located in downtown Pittsburgh, a 15 minute
walk or short cab ride to the campus. Follow
Liberty Ave towards downtown, take a left onto
Grant Street, then a left onto Forbes Ave.
Use the elevator in the Forbes Ave Parking garage
to reach campus.
By Car:
From the North - Take
I-79 to I-279 South. Take Exit 14, I-579
South/Veteran's Bridge. Follow all signs
for Civic Arena. At the Arena traffic light,
take a right on Washington Place. Follow
to Forbes Avenue, turn left, and turn right into
the main entrance of the Forbes Ave parking garage.
From the
South or West - Take I-79, Route
60, or Routes 22 & 30 to I-279 North.
Follow approximately 7 miles to the Fort Pitt
Tunnel; stay in the right lane through the tunnel.
Exit to the right onto 376 East. Proceed
about 0.2 miles and take the Grant Street Exit
#3. Follow Grant to Forbes Avenue and turn
right. Follow about 1/2 mile to the main
entrance of the Duquesne University Forbes Ave
parking garage.
From the
East - Follow I-76 (PA Turnpike) to Exit
6, 376 West. Proceed about 12 miles to Exit
6, Boulevard of the Allies. Once you pass
the parking lot of Mercy Hospital, exit to the
right at the turnoff ramp (before the steel pedestrian
bridge). Go straight on Bluff Street, through
the stop sign and past the information booth.
Follow Bluff St. past Mellon Hall and follow the
curve onto McAnulty Dr. McAnulty will wind
down to Forbes Ave. Go right on Forbes and
take a right into the main entrance of the Forbes
parking garage.
Visitor Parking:
All-day parking is available in the Forbes Avenue
garage for $5, $3 on weekends. All other
parking on campus is by permit only.
