Joseph P. Pezze
Joseph P. Pezze has a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering and a M.S. in Engineering and Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Pezze is currently an independent consultant who retired from the position of Environmental Protection Manager for Air Quality in the DEP's Southwest Regional Office located in Pittsburgh. In this role, Mr. Pezze supervised and managed all Air Quality Program Activities in the 10 County Southwest Region. These activities included new source permitting, RACT determinations, Title V permitting, compliance monitoring inspections, complaint investigations, emission inventory maintenance, air monitoring station maintenance, sampling, and enforcement. In addition to his everyday activities, he participated in formulating Departmental policies on the 1990 Federal Clean Air Act and the 1992 Amendments to the PA Clean Air Act. He is also currently serving as a member of the Ozone Transport Assessment Group (OTAG) and served as a member of the Ozone Stakeholders Group for Southwest PA. Mr. Pezze teaches environmental education courses at both Duquesne University and California University of PA. He has also been very active in the Air and Waste Management Association's Western PA Section and has held various offices in the Association. He was named fellow member of the Association in 1996.
