Michelle Schaper

Michelle Schaper holds her B.S. and her M.S. from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as a Ph.D. in Toxicology. She is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public Health and an Adjunct Professor at Point Park College's Department of Natural Science and Engineering. She is a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association where she currently chairs the Toxicology Committee. Her research has focused on the use of animal models to evaluate the respiratory effects of airborne chemicals. Through her research, Schaper works to define acceptable exposure limits and conditions for humans exposed to a given inhaled toxicant.
