Edward F. Schroth
Edward F. Schroth is a stream field biologist with more than 40 years of experience in environmental education and outreach. Schroth holds a B.S. in Biology from Baldwin-Wallace College and M.S. in Science Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
An adjunct professor at Duquesne University since 1999, Schroth organizes the biannual Environmental Science Experience in China, a unique study abroad program in which student delegations explore the People’s Republic of China through its environment, culture and education. In partnership with the China Association of Science and Technology (C.A.S.T.), the Duquesne delegates embark on an academic cultural experience with students and faculty of Chinese universities.
Schroth also teaches courses in Stream Field Biology and Foundations of Energy and Environment at Duquesne University. He taught at Quaker Valley High School for 36 years and served as the school district coordinator for science and environmental education. He also developed and conducted environmental programs at Allegheny College and Carnegie Mellon University.
