Duquesne University of the
Holy Spirit is a Catholic University, founded
by members of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit,
the Spiritans, and sustained through a partnership
of laity and religious. Duquesne serves God
by serving students – through commitment
to excellence in liberal and professional education,

The Duquesne University 5-yr Forensic Science
and Law Program in the Bayer School of Natural
and Environmental Sciences will provide the
best forensic science education possible. The
mission is to provide students with a high quality
education in the natural sciences, forensic
sciences, and to advance scientific knowledge
and improve society through research and education,
thereby contributing to the mission of Duquesne
University.
Goals: The program will teach laboratory-based
natural biology and biochemistry as well as
forensic scientific and legal foundations. The
Program will prepare students to enter the workplace
and start their careers with an excellent background
and knowledge base in the forensic sciences.
The student will also have a comprehensive knowledge
of the applicable principles of the law as it
pertains to forensic science.
