BA Program in Physics for Undergraduate students in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science

It is assumed that the student is pursuing a BS or a BA degree in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science in the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts. Then, the student may apply for an additional degree, a BA in the Department of Physics in the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences (BSNES). The Dean of BSNES must approve the College CORE courses selected by the student. This approval should be obtained as early as possible, preferably no later than the student's Sophomore year. Afer the Dean's approval, the student will co-register in the Department of Physics but will not take the BSNES CORE.

The following Physics courses are required for a BA in Physics, effective for students entering Fall 2003:

Basic Courses (taught every year)

 Credit

PHYS 211

General Analytical Physics I 4

PHYS 212

General Analytical Physics II 4

PHYS 213

General Analytical Physics III 4
